Feel confident in your body before, during, and after childbirth
What to expect from a birth preparation session:
- 90 minute one-on-one session
- Birth partners or spouses encouraged to come
- Education on labor and birth mechanics in relation to the pelvis, pelvic floor, and positions
- Review and practice of pushing techniques.
- Detailed pelvic floor assessment with push practice to ensure proper coordination
- Labor & birth position review/practice
- Birth prep exercise program for hips, pelvis, pelvic floor to facilitate labor and birth
- Hands-on partner skills for use during labor
- Postpartum planning and recovery programming for vaginal and cesarean births
Other things to note:
- Birth prep sessions are not meant to treat symptoms; if you’re looking to treat symptoms, schedule an evaluation
- Birth prep sessions are best planned after 30 weeks
- Sessions can and will be adapted based on your birth plans… birth is a physical process no matter how your baby comes out! (planned cesarean, unmedicated, medicated, hospital births, home births, birth center births, etc).
